Just back from a perfect weekend in the Champagne region of France; think romantic chateau, driving the winding roads through famous vineyards with the roof down (headscarf and sunglasses required of course), picnics in the sun, creamy-coloured macaroons French flea markets and many perfect Champagne-shaded bubbles. Each month it hosts an evening of themed story telling to which you must wear your best bedroom attire. Sponsored by Hendricks Gin (for cocktails served in a teacup), Coffee, Cake and Kink (for amazing chocolate cake in the interval) and Godiva (there's even an award for most glamourous nighty), this is a fabulous way to spend an evening lounging on a chaise. Now this is a breakfast worthy of cream marabou slippers! The twinkle of chandelier crystal at breakfast time is so elegant. I've been dreaming of amazing chandeliers a lot recently and have been introduced to a whole world of these amazing pieces via CSN Lighting. This weekend began with white peonies and Lemon Chiffon cake; iced coffee on a June afternoon; glamourising in a white peony and vanilla scented boudoir before exploring the most beautiful Roof Gardens and a perfect Sunday morning smoked salmon brunch. Fresh greens is the best way to set off summer whites. There's a luxury about a vase full of white roses or a stunning hydrangea surrounding by their intense green foliage.
