Happy Autumn! The rest of the Summer slipped away in a haze of weddings, travels and enjoying the last warm evenings. Then suddenly it's Autumn with leaves gradually turning from green all the way to the palest gold and there's a chill in the air.

The last few weeks have been the time to bring lavender-scented cashmere from the drawers, crystal lamp-lit evenings as the nights draw in and, of course, pumpkins harvested in all shapes and sizes, from the creamiest white to the boldest orange - the very most comforting symbol of Autumn. Leading me to Hooray's most elegant Autumnal table. Sorry it's been a while, but hope life is lovely where you are too. CXX

Actually a misleading post title given that the apartment featured here is actually near San Francisco (one of my favourite places in the world). But it reminded me so much of St Germain (one of my favourite bistros in the world, though now closed - sob) that I had to reference it. St Germain was New York fused with Paris and brought to life in a lofty ex-warehouse in the heart of London. The most chic and elegant bar, it mixed white-washed revealed brick walls with the most classic black and white striped wallpaper (finally - the connection!). Think classic Grey Goose martinis on a Friday night and elegant continental breakfasts on the weekend. I'd always thought that black and white was too stark for interiors but I've been persuaded that this look is the epitome of cool and adds a bit of a masculine edge to all my lovely whites. CXX

I've left it ages again to blog but, come 2010, it is my new year's resolution to blog at least once a week. And I do have an excuse as have been relaxing in Thailand for the last two weeks without Mac. Bliss.

This blog is about, shock, colour! I'm totally in love with Tiffany blue since seeing the shots above in Country Living a couple of months ago. Ness Lockyer over at Marley and Lockyer reminded me of just how gorgeous it looks for Christmas. Quite unusual but it works so beautifully in Vicki's New York pad.

Although not the first time I've seen a tree decked out in pale blue. Here is London Tiffany and Co has sponsored ice-skating at Somerset House which means the most enormous Christmas tree decorated in Tiffany's signature hue complete with twinkling lights and the cutest ice skate decorations. Heavenly. Better still, there's even a Tiffany tuck shop where you nip in for an apres skate mocha and Tiffany cupcake courtesy of the Hummingbird Bakery. Mmmmmmmm. Love Carrie XX

Success at last! I've found the most beautiful Lumina pumpkin - it's enormous and the most gorgeous creamy peach colour. My lovely boyfriend took me out to Fanny's Farm Shop in Surrey and Fanny herself showed us a great array of pumpkins. Now we just need to work out how to carve it! Can't wait to make lovely velvety pumpkin soup either. I've used Delia's recipe every time I've made it and it's just the best. It will make you long for pumpkins all year round! CXX

As well as my fascination with gourds, I've also taken a liking towards mounted antlers like these ones from www.englandathome.com. Aren't they lovely, v. log cabin and would be perfect with my reindeer skin rug in wintertime (which I'm not allowed to keep out because it malts so badly!). Antlers also make me think of Moose Bar in London which has some seriously cool antler chandeliers all in-keeping with it's Alpine look. CXX

Spring is on the way and I spent most of Saturday gardening. I love seeing the bulbs coming through and can't wait to see the daffodils, hyacinths and tulips that we planted back in the autumn. It was a lovely sunny day today - Spring makes everything seem so much more positive! I always forget how much I love being in gardens, living in central London I don't have my own so rely on being in my mum's, my lovely boyfriend's out in the countryside or one of the beautiful parks in London. Snow is falling outside the window as I write this blog. A thick white blanket has covered central London - it's so beautiful - but soooo cold, so I decided to hibernate away from the cold this afternoon! This weekend was lovely - I spent yesterday baking cupcakes for a girls' night in at my sister's. They were divine - so sweet to look at with butter icing and baby pink edible glitter from Daisy Cakes Bake Shop - a frothy pink piece of heaven in Greenwich Market. Maybe I'll make cupcakes for a living one day... Also had tea with my friend Lucy in Primrose Hill, such a pretty place, nearly as many pink buildings as Portobello Road! Then this eveing I finally got round to organising my wardrobe following my cupboard love inspiration! I have to say it's looking all neat and tidy now - with lovely labelled Nostalgisk boxes from Ikea - I think I know where everything is..... C XX

All I really wanted to do was stay at home and keep warm this afternoon but in the end was persuaded to meet a friend for a warming Mocha in Notting Hill. We went to Daylesford Organic which is just divine and white heaven! Lots and lots of eye candy for white fans. Now I just need to save up for a day at the Daylesford Organic hay barn spa , sigh! But will definitely continue going for Mochas while I fill my piggy bank! C xx

Saturday morning means American buttermilk pancakes to me - and Nigella Lawson has the ultimate recipe! Serve these lovely dollar pancakes with lots of maple syrup and, if it's more of a brunch, some nice back bacon. Then bottomless coffee, a radio on and the weekend paper of course! xx

You can't stay blue for long when you can look forward to slipping on a pair of cashmere socks at the end of a long day and padding around in total luxury, especially when it'd so cold here in London! These ones are from The White Company, aren't they divine? I'd go for the pink ones... Cxx

I am new to the world of blogging so please bear with me while I find my feet. I've felt so inspired by following some other favourite blogs that I decided 2009 would be the year I started my own.

I guess home is where my heart is and I love nothing more than pouring over stunning interior design. I'm mocked by friends and family for loving all things white (if saw my home you'd understand why - even my MacBook is white!) which is just not fair since I love off-white, cream, beige and champagne just as much! I just feel that everyday life is so manic and filled with colour that there's nothing that makes me unwind more than coming home and snuggling up surrounded by peaceful white.

Sweden has a special place in my heart and has definitely influenced my love for light and airy surroundings.

I'd like my blog to share my love of interior design and beautiful places I've been or would like to go to.
